Our Story
Building a Seat at the Table for Young Women
Gewe Network is a gender equality and women's empowerment global platform. We focus on supporting Black African, Ethnic Minorities (BAME), and young women from underrepresented backgrounds — helping them grow, and shining a light on their achievements through leadership in politics, civic participation, and decision-making for social change.
We were founded on a simple belief: that young women's voices belong wherever decisions are made — in parliaments, boardrooms, classrooms, and communities. Everything we build, from our workshops to our policy work, exists to close the gap between that belief and reality.
Mission
To advance the full participation of underrepresented young women leaders in decision-making bodies for social change and promote intersectional gender equality.
Vision
We envision a world where young women are empowered, fully represented, and have a seat at the table at the highest decision-making levels for social, economic, and political advancement.
What We Do
Creating Pathways to Leadership
We respond to young women's aspirations to advance intersectional gender equality, increasing their involvement in governance and empowering them to become leaders in politics, civic participation, and access to opportunities and resources.
Leadership Development
We enrich young women's knowledge and professional development, encouraging bold steps toward personal growth in leadership and education.
Digital & Business Skills
We build digital literacy and business capability, equipping young women with practical skills for sustainable projects and economic independence.
Policy & Advocacy
We partner with global leaders, governments, and institutions on policy formulation, roundtable discussions, and simulations that open doors to real decision-making.
Community & Partnership
We align with individuals, established experts, and organisations to host workshops, conferences, and training that expand networks and opportunity.
